  1. Graduate University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee

    Studied abroad at Chiba University, ended up picking Japan for my future career path.

  2. Return to Chiba on the JET Programme as an ALT.

    Enjoyed teaching at elementary and junior high schools for three years.

  3. Take position managing the JET Programme at CLAIR.

    Worked with Japanese Ministries of General Affairs, Foreign Affairs, and Education, and co-workers from Local Governments all around Japan to run the JET Programme. Had my first professional programming experience managing the JET Programme wordpress site.

  4. First Full-time developer position at REA

    While originally hired as a mobile developer, worked with PHP, React, and NextJS with a small team of developers MUCH more experienced than I was.

  5. Release Burayama

    Built Burayama as a junior developer with a team of 3 senior developers. Burayama promotes tourism and MaaS (movement as a service) for select areas in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Site is made for mobile devices only, so visit with a phone. (or use developer tools to shrink your viewport down to phone size.)

  6. While working as a developer advocate, found Seanco and code this platform to sell my personal Kintone related software.

    Balancing work, a family, and my own personal development projects seperate from my work, has been a challenge, but I'm excited to release software to improve people's user experience with Kintone.
